Step towards Hope

Maheshwari's husband died in May 2021 due to a brain disease. She is left behind with 2 daughters to take care of and barely any money. She wants to build her own little grocery shop to earn a living and raise her daughters.

Widow’s Hope started helping women in India who lost their husbands during the Covid-19 pandemic. Initially, we started supporting widows with money to buy groceries and such. Maheshwari's older daughter ,16 is mentally challenged so she put her in a Government institution free of cost. Her younger daughter 12 accompanies her to various houses where she goes cleaning. When we visited Maheshwari she expressed the desire to open a grocery shop. She even tried to get a bank loan but to no avail. We want to build her a little store but in the meanwhile, we decided to provide her with basic grocery items so that she can start right away from her kitchen.

The future goal is to build her a nice little grocery shop. If you feel like giving towards building her store your contribution no matter how little will be appreciated. The idea for the long term is to help women to become financially independent and self-sufficient.
