She got a smile

Laxmi, like millions of women in India, struggles to provide for her family with limited resources and no support. After losing her spouse, she was left alone to care for her children with no financial stability. In an effort to help, we provided groceries and daily necessities to Laxmi so that she could start selling from her hut. We also provided her with some funds to support her family.

However, our ultimate goal is to raise enough funds to build a small brick structure with a tin roof for Laxmi. This structure would allow her to store and display her goods on shelves and a counter. Unfortunately, Laxmi's story is all too common in India, where hunger, lack of shelter, and limited access to medical care are significant issues for the poor, particularly for women.

India has the highest number of hungry people in the world, with over 189 million people suffering from hunger, according to a report by the World Food Programme. Over 1.8 million people in India are homeless, and access to medical care is limited, particularly for those living in poverty. The COVID-19 pandemic has only exacerbated these issues, with the poorest and most vulnerable people being hit the hardest by the pandemic's impact on the economy.

We urge you to donate towards the construction of Laxmi's shop and to help other women like her. All donations will be invested directly in providing assistance to these women in India. We guarantee that 100% of your donations will be utilized for this cause. Your kindness and support are much appreciated!
